Arriving by Car

We're easy to find and are well signposted from the A45. Once on the road between the roundabout and Baginton village you can't miss us, or our Vulcan! There is free car parking in front of the museum. Click the map below for a more detailed map of the area; the Museum is within the red circle.

Arriving by Public Transport

Rail services to Coventry station are frequent. However, the museum is a considerable distance away from Coventry station (and there are no stations closer). You will need to get a bus (see below) or taxi unless you particularly want to walk for an hour or two!

A Line Travel operate the 538/539 bus service which stops at Coventry Railway Station Bridge and Baginton Post Office. Presuming you've taken the train to Coventry, on leaving the platform and entering the station concourse, there is an exit to your left. Go out there and turn left once more, following the sign for Warwick Road. Go up the stairs in front and turn left for the bus stop. You want the furthest one away from you (see map to the left). Also below is a partial timetable for the 538/539 giving the services useful for getting to and from the museum; however this is subject to change so you are advised to contact A Line Travel on (02476) 494411 to confirm times and route numbers in order to avoid possible disappointment.

Please note: the 538/539 runs on Mondays to Saturdays only!

Look out for the bus as you may need to signal the driver to stop. From Coventry Railway Station Bridge ask the driver for a return to Baginton Post Office. Once at Baginton, walk back the way the bus came into the village and turn right at the junction. The museum is about a ten minute walk along the road; you'll soon see the Vulcan's tail. The bus drivers are a friendly bunch so if you let them know you're actually going to the air museum they may let you off the bus at the corner saving you a minute's walk. They also usually have copies of the timetable so you can make sure of the time of your return trip.

Opening Times

We are open every day of the year except Christmas Day and Boxing Day, in the summer months (April to October) from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM (6:00 PM on Sundays and Bank Holidays), and during the winter months (November to March) from 10:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Visits at other times can be arranged by prior appointment if you contact us by letter or phone at the address below.

Facilities

We have a well-stocked shop selling model kits, books, magazines, paintings, prints etc. as well as refreshments - take a break during your tour, have a bite to eat and continue at your leisure! Of course we have toilets, including disabled facilities. Disabled access to the museum is generally good, though the raised gallery and aircraft interiors are unfortunately not accessible to wheelchair users. We have a car park in front of the museum with free parking for up to 100 cars and plenty of room for coaches too.

Educational Visits

The Museum is ideally suited to educational visits by school parties or other organised groups; our Education Centre, guided tours and worksheet packs are available by prior arrangement. These have been tailored to the requirements of the National Curriculum.
